Can be used to secure IBR or corrugated sheeting to metal roof structures, for example, when building carports. The split thread version drills through the IBR sheeting and at the point where it starts to drill through the metal structure below; the break in thread allows it to spin in the sheeting while it drills into the structure. Small top section of thread keeps the sheeting intact and prevents movement.
