SUPER FILM was established in 1993 with a 35.000 m2 facility to produce high quality BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) film with state of the art machinery. The first production started in 1995, with a further doubling of its capacity in 1997. SUPER FILM realised a capacity of 30.000 tonnes of BOPP film and 10.000 tonnes of metallized film per year.
With a major expansion
in 2005, Super Film brought on stream its third BOPP line, its first BOPET (Biaxially Oriented Polyester) – BOPA (Biaxially Oriented Polyamide) line, and a Cast PP & Multilayer Barrier line. The range of films BOPP, BOPET, BOPA, PET-G, CPP & Multilayer Barrier films is now produced in an 85.000 m2 operation having 94.000 tonnes capacity.
SUPER FILM metalizes 20.000 tonnes of its in house produced packaging films, with 4 metallization machines. The metallizing process utilizes an ultra thin layer of aluminum that improves the barrier properties of the packaging films extending the shelf life of the packaged product
